Do we ever die... no it is not so... only the body dies! We are a living soul atman that has manifested the body of a human being. As per the doctrine of karma... when time to leave arrives... the body decays and dies! We as a soul atman within desire removal of the impurities within at the earliest! It is for this reason we as a soul manifest body again and again.brbrIt is an accepted fact that our soul atman within is the true governor of the body. It is our soul atman that has manifested the body and not vice versa. It is not within the capability of the body to manifest a soul atman. Right from the first manifestation as an amoeba single cell formation and to the last stage... the . millionth manifestation when human beings gained enlightenment kaivalya jnana and finally salvation moksha... we continue to manifest bodies.brbrOn the earthly domain after the death of the body the family weeps feeling bereaved... in the cosmic domain nothing ever dies. We as a soul atman simply change the outer garment... as the changing of guards at Buckingham Palace! The cycle of manifestations continue until a human being reaches the stage of enlightenment and finally salvation.brbrBhagavad Gita... the most sacred Scripture of Hinduism available on Mother Earth defines the relationship between God Almighty, soul atman and the body.
